On 31 October we hosted the Halloween City Pearl Cup rapid chess tournament for children at City Pearl – and it became a real autumn chess celebration.
Round after round, exciting games and close battles: the tournament ran in a great atmosphere, and the participants spent the morning playing seriously and in good spirits.
It was a particular joy to see that many creative, costumed players turned up again this year – so the rounds took place among inventive masks and outfits.
Of course, they got the extra prize too, which they collected at the prize giving.
Congratulations to every participant and to all the prize winners, and our thanks to the parents and companions for cheering along – the barista coffee was enjoyed in great spirits between the rounds.
